2NE1 “안녕 (GOODBYE)” [Video Premiere]

Bad news K-Pop fans! The girls of South Korean group 2NE1 has officially announced their disbandment and the world is crying profusely!

Official Statament below:

As of May 2016, 2NE1’s exclusive contract with YG was over and as Minzy was no longer able to continue with us YG and the other members after long discussion have decided to officially disband 2NE1.

As 2NE1 has been the representing girl group of YG for the last 7 years, we cannot express how sad we are, however we have decided that it would be too hard for them to keep going and rather than wait on 2NE1’s activities without promise of when it will happen decided to focus on the members’ solo careers.

We would like to thank everyone for their love and support for 2NE1 and their music.

As of 2016 May we have signed solo artist contracts with CL and Sandara Park and Park Bom has not resigned with YG.

On January 5, YG Entertainment announced:

As 2NE1 were not able to say a final goodbye to fans due to their sudden disbandment, they plan to send a song. Park Bom, Dara, and CL have wrapped up recording the song “안녕 (GOODBYE)” and finished filming the music video as well

The single and its proper music video were premiered on January 20th.
